Microsoft Edge browser now available for Android and iOS
Back in October this year, Microsoft announced the availability of the Edge Browser in beta for iOS and Android users. The Redmond, Washington-based company is now rolling out the stable version of its Edge browser to the users -- both iOS and Android. Microsoft announces the roll out of Edge via a blog post on Thursday in which it stated -- "We are pleased to announce that we're removing the "preview" label from our Android and iOS app."
Microsoft Edge creates one continuous browsing experience for Windows 10 users across their devices, notes the company. With Edge reaching out to all the Android and iOS users, Microsoft has brought along two new features to the browser. One is Roaming Passwords, while the second feature is the Dark theme. Microsoft has apparently added these two features after considering the feedback from the users who have been testing the Edge browser when in preview version.
The new Roaming Passwords feature works in a way -- for instance, imagine you change the password of your account, with the Roaming Passwords feature you'll not have to re-enter the password in case you switch your device. It will be automatically be updated. "Save a new password on your phone, and it follows you to your PC," notes Microsoft while explaining about the Roaming Passwords feature. While the second feature -- Dark theme brings along additional theme on your phone.

Apart from these two new features, Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android also come with features like -- your Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page, Reading View, Data sync, Hub view, QR Code Reader, Voice Search, InPrivate, and so on. "What makes Edge really stand out is the ability to continue on your PC, which enables you to immediately open the page you're looking at right on your PC-or save it to work on later," notes Microsoft in its blog post.
The Continue on PC feature on Edge lets users pick up their work from where they left off, no matter where they are or what they are doing. It basically allows users to seamlessly move content between mobile device and PC. To get this feature you require Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update. The Data Sync feature will let you sync your files across devices, while the Hub View will let you save all your files in one place, basically allow you to find and manage your content in a much simpler manner.
Other features like Reading View will let you reorganize content on a webpage, basically makes reading process simpler, while the QR Code Reader will allow you to easily read QR codes at the touch of a button. Edge also comes with the Voice Search feature with which you can use your voice to search the web. Lastly the InPrivate, works much like incognito mode -- it doesn't save your browsing data.
As of now, Microsoft Edge for iOS is available in the United States, China, France and the UK. While for Android it is available in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, UK, and also in India. Microsoft is also planning to bring the MS Edge for iOS and Android to additional markets in the forth coming days.
