Nokia 6 (2018) revealed by Chinese regulator



Nokia 6 (2018)Thanks to a number of leaks, we already know that HMD Global is quietly preparing the next batch of Nokia-branded Android smartphones. We know about Nokia 9, Nokia 8 (2018) and now, courtesy Chinese telecom certification agency TENAA, we have the first look at the Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone.
Not many specifics about the Nokia 6 (2018) are known at this point, but TENAA listing reveals that the phone will carry the model number TA-1054 and include 4G LTE support, dual-SIM card slots, fingerprint sensor and Android (most likely Oreo).
Online speculation suggest that the smartphone’s display will have 18:9 aspect ratio, which seems right looking at the images posted on TENAA. Given that existing the Nokia 6 model is a mid-range smartphone, I am expecting the same will be true for the 2018 model as well, we will most likely see a processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon 600-series with 3 or 4GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
In more Nokia news, HMD Global on Tuesday revealed that it is very close to releasing the Oreo beta update for the Nokia 6. The company is currently seeding the update to Nokia 5 phone, after completing the roll-out for the Nokia 8.
It is rumoured that HMD Global will be hosting a press event on January 19 in China, where it will introduce the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) smartphone. We might see the Nokia 6 (2018) at the event.
To remind you, Nokia 9 is reportedly going to feature a 5.5-inch QHD screen. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor and include dual camera setup, 6GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor and IP67 water/ dust resistance. There will be no 3.5mm audio jack on the phone.

Nokia 5 enters Beta Labs for Android Oreo, Nokia 6 will be next

Late October, Nokia introduced Beta Labs which allows users to taste beta Android Oreo on their Nokia smartphones. At first, it was made available for Nokia 8 which later also received the stable updatein November. While rolling out stable update for Nokia 8, Juho Sarvikas of HMD Global said Nokia 6 & 5 will be next in the line to get beta. And today, Nokia 5 finally enters Beta Labs for Android Oreo.

Juho Sarvikas, who is the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global for Nokia smartphones confirmed that they have started beta testing Android Oreo for the Nokia 5. Surprisingly, Nokia 6 didn’t get it first, but he did confirm that Nokia 6 will be next. If you own a Nokia 5 and interesting in beta testing Android Oreo, then head over to this Nokia.
In case you do not know, Android Oreo brings lots of new features. The most notable ones are Picture in Picture mode, Notification Channels, Adaptive icons, smart auto fills and several other under the hood changes. The best thing about Android Oreo is Project Treble, but its not supported by many devices. However, phones releasing next year with Android Oreo out of the box will have it.

Nokia 6 2018 image renders comes up, Passed through TENNA


HMD Global own Nokia is gearing up for the launch of Nokia 6 2018 version. Earlier it was said that the device which Nokia is going to Launch is Nokia 9. But now with this TENNA certification it is clear that Nokia 6 2018 is the next device from the company.

Yesterday we have reported with the little specs of Nokia 6. But Now we have image renders also which confirms the 18 : 9 display. According to the listings in TENNA, The device supports the TD-LTE / LTE FDD / TD-SCDMA / WCDMA / cdma2000 / CDMA 1X / GSM standard. It is dual card dual standby Android phone.
However, according to previous leaks and rumors, Nokia 6 2018 is powered with Snapdragon 660 Soc. It pairs with 4GB RAM and internal memory of 32GB which might be expanded by microSD card. The phone will also have fingerprint scanner at the back. Nokia 6 2018 might runs on Android 8. Oreo out of the box.
The Launch date is not cleared by the company. I think it will be launched in january 2018, We can even see this phone at CES 2018 also. Stay Connected for more info.

Nokia 6 2018 Reportedly passed through TENNA in China


Earlier there was a confusion regarding the new leaks in China that TA-1054 is not about Nokia 9 , It is for Nokia 6 2018. Recently, TA-1054 i.e Nokia 6 2018 has been seen over Tenna in China. Now this means that it has passed through the TENNA. Though there isn’t any pictures or detailed specs of the device.

But regarding the specs we get a little information. The certification reveals that device will be a dual sim one. It will be packed with 5.5 inch with 18:9 aspect ratio display and it will have very thin bezels. The device Nokia 6 2018 will have a design like Nokia 7.
The buttons over the device will now be on-screen ones. Regarding the camera the data reports that it will be a dual lens camera or the dual sight(Bothie feature) one. Nokia 6 2018 might be powered with Snapdragon 630 which pairs with 4GB RAM and internal memory of 32GB. The device will also have a fingerprint sensor.
Well, these are just rumored specs it might get changed as time will progress and more leaks came out. To be sure we need to wait until the device is launched.
