Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is here with a flashing score of 90 at DXOMark. It is surprising to see a high score for Mi Note 3 camera. Xiaomi launched the Mi Note 3 in September with Snapdragon 660 and 6GB of RAM. Now, it is slated for launch in some other countries. Just before that we have received DXOMark score for its camera abilities.
Talking about its camera, it has a 12 megapixel f/1.8 sensor paired with a 12 megapixel f/2.6 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. As per the DXOMark, it has scored 90 points out of 100 and in Video section it managed to get 82 points out of 100. Xiaomi Mi Note 3 camera has scored pretty well in sections like exposure and contrast, light, color and autofocus. It has gained a lot of applause from the guys over at DXOMark in photo section. While in the Video section , Mi Note 3 has scored significantly well than other most of the devices. It has scored 83 points due to high score in fields of exposure and autofocus, light, contrast, etc. Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has failed to impress DxOMark with its Bokeh effect and Noise in photos. Well, we think it is a good sign that Xiaomi has also started to focus on the Camera quality. In future, we hope the camera of upcoming smartphones from Xiaomi to improve. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun, who is present at the Snapdragon tech summit, revealed that the company’s next flagship phone will be using the upcoming Snapdragon 845 processor. He didn’t state the name of the device, but it is most likely going to be Mi 7.
“I am very excited to be part of the Snapdragon Technology Summit and reaffirm that Xiaomi’s close relationship with Qualcomm Technologies in the premium tier will continue into 2018,” said Lei Jun, founder, chairman and chief executive officer, Xiaomi.
“Xiaomi is committed to making devices that combine cutting-edge innovations in technology and beautiful design, while defying price expectations, and we have chosen Snapdragon 845 to power our next flagship smartphone,” Jun added.
The specifics of the Mi 7 are a mystery at this point, but a recent rumour indicated that the phone will go in production in February 2018. It is expected to be the first phone from Xiaomi to feature wireless charging support. The company had joined the Wireless Power Consortium earlier this year. Being a flagship, you can expect the Mi 7 to pack an impressive set of specifications like 6 or 8GB of RAM, 64 or 128GB of internal storage and full or quad-HD display with slim bezels.
I will publish a separate report with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor detail later today once Qualcomm reveals them.

Xiaomi Mi 6 gets the Android 8.0 Oreo Closed Beta
Xiaomi Mi 6 gets the Android 8.0 Oreo Closed Beta
Posted: 29 Nov 2017 08:46 AM PST
Late as usual, Xiaomi has finally started focusing on Android Oreo development for its devices. Since Android Oreo 8.0 closed beta for the flagship Mi6 is now officially announced by the firm. According to a latest report, Xiaomi has begun recruiting beta testers for the same and the selection may last a few weeks or more.
In fact, while other OEM’s were busy testing initial builds of Android Oreo, the Chinese firm was perfecting its latest custom costume, the MiUI 9. Well, as the MiUI 9 roll-out is now almost at the peak level, it’s the time for company to develop Android Oreo.
If recruitment process ends well, the selected users will get a piece of closed beta version to test for a couple of months. Then there will be an open beta testing too which will be extending to more devices. Later, a developer version will be released as a public beta. Hence, after completing all these process it’d take quite a while for a stable build to be in limelight.
Nevertheless, it can’t be unseen that still Xiaomi hasn’t properly rolled-out the Nougat base to most of the eligible devices. Redmi devices such as 3S/3S Prime, Redmi 4, 4A and so on haven’t got a single major upgrade ever since they launched. Anyway, let us be optimistic that it gonna change soon in coming days.
