If the recurring leaks, rumors and exposures of the upcoming Samsung S-series flaships are taken as reference. Samsunghas focused on improving under the hood components and software department rather than pushing the design boundaries even further. That said, a newly budded rumor suggests a possibility of Samsung incorporating 3D Emoji’s on the Galaxy S9/S9+ to further enhance the software experience.
Apparently, it seems the South Korean firm is leaving no stones unturned so as to enhance the user experience on its heavily customized skin. For that to achieve Samsung might be even ready to pull one of its born-rival, Apple’s – Animoji inspired emoticons. Well, there won’t be a need for giving an intro of the Animoji as Apple has given more than enough publicity and attention for it during the iPhone X launch.
Despite, for those who’re still unknown of the things happening on iOS world. The Animoji’s are basically 3D character emoji’s that are created based on user’s facial expression. The feature is powered by Apple’s powerful A11 bionic chipset for rendering a perfect emoji aping the user’s expression. And, the so-called 3D Emoji by Samsung should be the same feature but could be more advanced and prevailing than the Animoji’s.
In fact, this is not the first time Samsung “kanging” an iOS feature. Remember the popular Live Drawing feature that debuted on Galaxy Note 8 last year. It’s, perhaps inspired from the Live Messages feature that was present on Apple’s proprietary iMessage a long before. Only the difference is Samsung made the feature universal and more useful in daily messaging.

Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, on Thursday launched the new Galaxy Tab A (8.0) tablet in the US. The tablet is the latest version of the Tab A, which was introduced in September this year.
According to Samsung, it will be available starting November 1 in Black and Silver colours. The Tab A carries a price-tag of $229.99 and will be sold via Samsung.com.
“At Samsung, we constantly work to deliver meaningful innovation that delights our customers and meets their unique needs, The Galaxy Tab A is designed for parents and kids. It’s the tablet that’s just as easy to take on the go or curl up with on the couch, with long-lasting battery life to get the whole family through the day,” said Alanna Cotton, vice president and general manager of product marketing at Samsung Electronics America.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A has a 8-inch 1280x800p screen in a metal frame with rounded edges. It is powered by Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The tablet also packs 2GB of RAM and the version being launched in the US includes 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion.
Additionally, you will get an 8MP rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and 5MP front shooter in the device. There is a 5000 mAh battery, USB Type-C port and the usual connectivity options as well on-board.
On top of the Android OS, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A comes with a number of software enhancements and pre-loaded content. There is a kids mode with exclusive content, videos and games as well as a subscription service called Samsung Kids on the tablet.
The Tab A buyers will also get three free months of YouTube Red subscription as well as $100 of premium games, books, movies and TV shows from Samsung Kids service.
Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus which is the South Korean giants upcoming smartphone has been trending a lot. The device has gone through a lot of leaks as well as rumors. Well, adding to this new leak, a new video has been uploaded which gives the details of this smartphone. And to tell you guys the device hasn’t been launched yet.
But this video gives us an idea that the device will be launched soon. This new smartphone will have some changes. Samsung Galaxy A8 will have a 3000 mAH battery and on the other hand Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus will have a powerful 3500mAH battery. Earlier leaks were quite similar. Now we just hope the device gets launched soon.
A Samsung UK representative for the beta program replied to a curious S8 owner during a discussion hosted by the company’s Galaxy Beta Community service that the final update is expected to be ready by the end-of-January or early-February, 2018, which is more than six weeks away.
Typically when a manufacturer decides to offer a public beta, they provide an update, which is fairly stable and only needs a bit of testing to check for any underlying issues that might have been missed by the company. They release one or two beta versions before the stable version is rolled-out, but it seems Samsung is having a hard time fixing its Android 8.0 Oreo update. The company is already on the fourth public beta for the S8/ S8+, which was released earlier today, and they are still six weeks away from the stable release, meaning we would be seeing at least one or more public beta updates before the final version reaches the consumers.
Either Samsung released a fairly raw Oreo version as a public beta or they have been caught with their pants down with a number of underlying problems with the update. Whatever be the case, despite having Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8/ S8+ owners will get the Oreo update almost six months after Google officially unveiled it.
There is no word on when the likes of Note 8 or other phones will get Oreo. Although Samsung has not officially revealed which of its Android devices will be getting the Oreo update, a leaked list did give us an idea about which Samsung phones and tablets can expect to see Android 8.0. It seems the South Korean tech giant Samsung is getting ready to join the likes of Google and Amazon by launching its own smart speaker in the market. According to a report in the Bloomberg, the company is planning to introduce a Bixby-powered smart speaker in the first half of 2018. Samsung’s upcoming smart speaker will reportedly focus on audio-capabilities and smart home devices management, similar to what the most premium smart speakers offer these days. It will use the company’s own voice-assistant Bixby, which is currently offered as a part of select Galaxy smartphones. Although Bixby is a direct competitor to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, it hasn’t got the best reviews and is probably the worst of the bunch.
Bloomberg also notes that Samsung’s smart speaker will synchronize with Samsung’s other devices like phones and TVs as well as work with the company’s SmartThings platform.
A prototype of the smart speaker in testing by the company is said to be between the size of Amazon Echo and Apple HomePod. It sports matte black colour, however the company may offer the final product in multiple colour options. The prototype doesn’t feature any kind of a screen, but there are lights on the top for visual feedback. No other specifics are known at this point.
The smart speaker may be released in multiple markets around the world with a price-tag around $200, but these plans are fluid at the moment and may change.
Samsung’s plans to release a smart speaker haven’t been a complete surprise. The company executive DJ Koh has revealed in August this year that Samsung is working on a smart speaker without giving out any details.
